The course lasts 4 hours and focuses on learning climbing and getting the first feeling of real rock under your fingers. We will attach top rope (ropes that are fixed at the top of a climbing route) for you, and you can climb as high as you feel comfortable. You will learn how it feels to secure another person and how to handle a belay device. There is no pressure, and fun and adventure are the main focus.
On this taster day, you will not learn how to secure a partner in a climbing gym independently. Practice is needed to become a reliable belay partner. If you are interested in rope safety and belaying, check out our Rock Entry courses.

Our Try -Out day is designed for anyone who wants to try climbing in the great outdoors, experience adventure, or discover a new sport. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to climb a real rock? How would you cope with the height? If you’re not sure whether climbing is the right sport for you and want to give it a try, then this is the perfect opportunity!
Parent – Kids Climbing:
Parents, listen up! Climbing on real rock is a great way to spend time with your family and enjoy the adventure of being in nature. It’s an activity that allows parents and children to test their skills and strengths while relying on and supporting each other. Join us for a Try Out day with your family.
Details
It takes place in one of the locations which are suitable for beginners and that are easily accessible by car. If you don`t have a vehicle, just contact us, we often have free seats for you in our car.
All the equipment except the shoes is provided by us. Shoes are easy to rent from one of the Alpenverein shops in Vienna.
The group sizes are not more than 5 people per trainer and the course will only take place with a minimum of 2 participants.
